Well, even though I was under a tight deadline and I had many setbacks (some I told you about some I kept to myself) I'm pretty satisfied with the result and I accomplished everything I wanted with it. As you can tell by my references throughout the article, this is a culmination of a lot of things I have learned from my fellow staff modders here at bit-tech with my own twist and contribution. I don't plan on making anymore projects using wood, at least not in the near future, and given that fact I'm glad I used a nice wood like oak.
I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I had making it. I want to thank the people who taught me the great tricks of the trade like Macroman and Linear along with every other member of the staff and forums that ever gave me an idea or listened to mine as I droned on and on and worked out things in my head. We have an amazing resource here in the forums at bit-tech, I highly recommend you use them as much as possible. Lastly I would like to thank the staff at TechTV, they were extremely nice and were a joy to work with during my earth shattering 6 minutes of TV history... hey, six is just shy of half of the 15 minutes Andy Warhol promised me... that sounds about right.
Thanks also go out to
ATi, Samsung, and
Gainward for providing top notch components to make this a snazzy HTPC.
